Even though the GC and FRS/BRZ are not competitors I can still see why some would pick between the two. Me for instance I don't track cars nor do I care to. If I was into tracking cars I would never consider any vehicle of the size of the GC and the FRS/BRZ would be the easy choice. But if you're a DD who likes a sporty feel then I can see why you would compare them both. I test drove a 2010 3.8 Track and it took simple corners flat and with ease. I would never buy a non-Track/Rspec model even though they're still nice. This is just my opinion but I believe on a track the FRS/BRZ will feel better but I believe the GC might be more better for DD.

Uh.... so just because he doesn't want the whip he can't call out a mod for befitting behavior? LOL, k nice logic bud.

Huh? Why would someone whos tracking choose a 200hp car like the BRZ over the new 2013gc v6?

You have a excellent point but I would love to track(If I was a track lover) something much smaller and easier to handle than have brute power and weight. In Forza 4 I love to play with the smaller sports cars more but the straight line on them makes it a little boring unless I pick a track that's mostly curvy.

I agree. However I still think the 3.8 R-Spec could be a lot of fun and want to give it a shot. Different strokes for differet folks.

Yeah I think the 3.8 Rspec especially would be a blast on the track. The track in my state(Road Atlanta) is better suited IMO for a 3.8 Rspec but I believe the cost of tracking it vs the FRS/BRZ might be the difference.

I would rather start out with smaller cars I can control and grow from there if I was a track rat. I've never driven on a track.

Huh? If you have lower center of gravity, the weight is naturally more evenly distributed between left and right when turning, so you can have less stiff springs for the same grip/body roll.

FYI, some number from Inside Line's test of the BRZ (http://www.insideline.com/subaru/brz...d-video.html):

Skidpad - .92g,
Slalom - 69.1 mph

Compare that with the 2013 Genesis Coupe:

Skidpad - .89g
Slalom - 67.4 mph

Regarding handling, these numbers don't lie.

I find it inappropriate for mods to say such words buttercup.

especially when I can't say ****pit.

EDIT - just saw the rest of your post: Exactly, I don't want the car. That's why I'm in the 86 vs. GC thread.

Was that for the 2013 2.0T R-Spec?

The 2013 3.8 R-Spec does:

Skidpad- 0.91g
Slalom- 68.1

Price wise, the 3.8 R-Spec compares favorably against the BRZ Limited.

Edit: Maybe "compares favorably" isn't the best use of words. But it does offer a lot of performance for a price that is going to be close to what we expect the limited to be priced around. Add in that most GC go for around invoice.

Genesis R-spec appears to come with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A which is "Max Performance Summer".

EXACTLY what I was going to say.

I wonder if the tires they chose really give the car all the justice it deserves? Personally I already see them as a significant compromise to the raw capabilities the car has.

Hahaha sorry sorry, my usage of curse words knows no bounds. I was pretty ecstatic to merge the 7 active genesis threads at wee hours of the night after i finally put my daughter to sleep.

As far as inappropriate..yes it was. But being inappropriate or appropriate isnt nessesarily part of the job description for most mods across the forum universe.

Im just like you guys..and just because im a mod doesn't mean i have to act differently. Perhaps it was my personality that got me in this position to begin with. So despite my power id rather use it to to keep the forum organized, rather than target members behaviors/personalities. Unless their obvious trolls and spam bots.

But anyway thanks for calling me out on my behavior ill try to keep it more PG .

Happy foruming!
