You asked for opinions. The general consensus is "no". You obviously don't care and at this point are just trying to justify these stickers to yourself.

This reminds me of the "Baby on board" signs...
That was a ridiculous idea.
Sure if I am about to crash into you and I see the sign I will somehow be able to avoid you and crash into someone else....

Kind of like "I'll put a sign on the back of my car to make people avoid me that can only be noticed if they are already behind me"....
Or a "Dont Taze me Bro!" T-shirt at the police convention?

It is your car. You are entitled to look like a childish idiot in it if it makes you happy...

The more owners try to fit in a box of sameness, the more I want to be on the harmless and practical outside of it.

Retarded idea. I guess you need the internet's approval for doing things to your own car?

I think it was meant more for first responders to identify the sign, not necessarily for you to be looking at it. Kind of like how medical alert bracelets aren't really a fashion item.

I think we have been trolled. That is the only reasonable explanation for this.

They are these days. Google image medic alert bracelet. They're getting all sparkly.

Not looking for approval, just opinions. I've already done things to my car with which people have expressed distaste (other stickers, cheap wheels, louvers, TRD parts in a Subaru) so no need to try enlightening me on that. All the people in this thread rephrasing what I said way ahead of them in the OP: "Con: Tacky - may draw unwanted attention" aren't adding anything meaningful. As if I don't know what I already stated. I also like how they don't acknowledge all of my 5 points.

See, now how is that irony any different.

If I had a car with JDM parts, I'd put this American sign on it. Because everyone else is putting the Japanese new driver sign on theirs. It's a simple idea, really.

I'm thinking of getting "STUDENT DRIVER" signs for various reasons...

1] Mock the JDM Shoshinsha/Wakaba badges people have which mean the same thing.
2] These signs in English are a thing in Japan like how they rebadge "Toyota 86" to "Scion FR-S." My car with JDM parts trying to be USDM will make it even more genuinely JDM.
3] Removable/reusable so I can put them on/take them off as I please.
4] Drivers on the road will space themselves from me, creating an invisible bubble.
5] Even the best pro race drivers constantly learn to perfect their driving technique. We're all students of driving, especially in a car purpose built to teach us how to drive.
I apologize, I will address all 5 of your points.

1. retarded
2. also retarded
3. this is a plus if you want to put them on your car
4. drivers on the road will be laughing at you, not with you
5. they also aren't dumb enough to put stupid magnet clings on their car

Dude, you're putting too much thought and effort into this... No one will understand your strange you strange desire to put something like this on your car, just do what you want. We all think it's stupid but you don't need our approval.
