So it took me awhile to figured out that the smart key needs to be away from the car to test out the alarm. (Alarm locked. Open door. Alarm sounds) haha. :p this is my first push start car btw haha

If anyone has yet to be able to do it here are the steps:

1) Get in the car

2) press the start/stop button two times, with makes the car to be in the start position (all your dash lights light up)

3) Lock the car with the physical button on the door

4) Press the unlock button on the door and open the door while still pressing the unlock door button.

5) Still pressing the unlock button, wait about 10 seconds, the car will beep once for activated and twice for deactivated and the information panel in the cluster will say either "AL on" or "AL off"
thank you! i just armed my alarm, splendid write up...

So I activated it, put my keys down on my porch and pulled the door handle, knocked on the windows, pushed the car. Nothing happened. What has to happen for the alarm to go off?

Mine is the same. I'm thinking there is an additional shock sensor that needs to be installed.

I asked the dealer when I picked up and they said they would have it activated for me and that it was probably activated from factory. So I assume the flashing car with lock symbol is a warning that 'Hey, your car is not armed!'

I will be activating shortly. I also believe this is in the instruction manual on how to arm or disarm...?
