Decided to do some soldering today:

Unfortunately I had far fewer blue LEDs than I thought so I was only able to get the text and the LCD screens. I threw a white LED down on the rear defrost to see how it looked.

I was originally going to do the text in white and then everything else in blue but I wasn't paying attention and started putting in the blue ones >.> Still looks cool :P Will take another picture tonight to give you all a better look at it.

Closed course or not, not quite sure how neccessary it was to take the pic while moving, especially at that speed.

Passenger took the picture. I was going straight. Much more runway to go. Cleared by runway personnel. And for the hell of it we both wore helmets. Thank you all for the concern though.

So was this speed limited by the speed limiter/governor or physics?

I cut it at this speed because I still wanted to be able to safely stop. Safety first.

In hind sight, I probably should've saved some LEDs and done the clock... Should have another batch next weekend anyway.

It would take the FR-S forever to go from 130 to 155 which I think it it's limited speed. FOREVER.

I thought it was 170, but stock it couldn't reach that. I have CAI, inlet tube, pulleys, headers, overpipe, front pipe, and muffler delete, and took the back seats, spare, tools, and all that nonsense out, so I may get a close to 155, but I haven't had the space to do it in NY

Not sure I like all that over illumination in the LCDs. I'm going to see what the 300mcd LEDs I have look like. At least then I can probably repurpose the brighter ones for the text in the circular controls.

Got my roommate down at the scion dealer she's test driving a 6 speed ultramarine monogram series right now I talked her in to looking about trading in her Mini Cooper S paceman. Stay tuned for updates.

She got it early December lmao. I told her to get an 86 before she got the mini, but she was dead set on the mini, now she regrets it and wants an 86. She absolutely fell in love after test driving the monogram, but she would need a bigger down payment then she can afford right now due to the rollover on the paceman loan, so she's going to save up and well be back in a couple of months to pick up her FRS. She would've done it today if she could

Fixed...

I replaced all the LCD LEDs with the blue 300mcd LEDs I had from before and repurposed the ones I had in there for the other controls... Decided to go with white LEDs for the little status "ON" indicators. I'm pretty happy with the result... Next step, Radio/Nav and gauge cluster.
