Have you bothered to contact the company you purchased the wheels from?

Is this only on the inside back lip of the interior of the wheel? Are your matte black? I think we have the same wheels...

I assume you drive your car with the wheels on?

First off thanks CSG for all the Jackson posts - you helped me decide to go that direction. I would rather go directly to the wheel company. The company I purchased from is a vendor on here that a had a ton of problems with regarding honesty / integrity etc. To make a long story short they stated it would take a month to get the wheels (yes I know this doesn't seen reasonable when purchasing Advan's of a non stocked offset, but thats what they stated). I got everything from fake "freight shipping confirmations" to "we had you mixed up with another customer", "false claims of air upgrades", "inability to provide tracking info after multiple shipment claims" etc. etc. etc. 7 months later after monthly "next weeks"

I usually go back to stock during the rainy season *yes even in NorCal. Its just something Ive always done due to potholes. They were only off for 3 weeks due to us not getting any rain this year and I did a thorough cleaning on the day I took the pics prior to putting them back on the car.

It is on the backside of the black chrome wheel. The black chrome on the front side is also very weak. You could sneeze on it and it chips - extremely thin coating. Within 5 days of owning the wheels I already had a rock chip, and they came with a bubble in the chrome finish that obviously has already chipped off. I wonder if any of the other people on here with RSII's are experiencing this or maybe its just my wheels. At this point I'll probably just order some SSR or Vossen's and use these as a throwaway set to beat up on. I'm very disappointed in the finish.

Usually the black chrome finishes are not very durable to begin with. It is a very fragile finish...

You shouldn't have mounted tires to them if you noticed bubbles in the finish... I believe once the tires are mounted you can not really pursue finish claims.

I went with Matte Black for my RSII's, already 500 miles on them and no signs of chips. Although what I find strange is now I have very squeaky brakes on slow stops... I figure it is due to the fact they are a more aggressive offset than my previous wheels and slightly heavier...

Anyway back on track... These types of finishes... Super Black Chrome etc are not the most durable of finishes at all. And if you notice a bubble in the finish say something about it before you mount them up.

I had the standard Advan gold finish, and my luck wasn't any better.

They are a "racing" product so I wonder if there is any warranty on them at all on the finish.

That is unfortunate to hear about the integrity of that vendor. Mackin is the sole importer of those Yokohama wheels in North America. Give them a call up regarding warranty.

Just an update. I have to unmount and ship the wheel to Mackin for inspection in SoCal. Once they deem the damage is not caused by abuse they will contact Advan for warranty options. I will update once I have resolution and also provide TAT for the warranty work for anyone else who has issues.

sorry to hear about the wheels

my homie had a set of RGII's for years on his Z and they were tracked often and daily driven, and still excellent condition.

Good luck man. Hoping you get a speedy and satisfactory resolution.
