And you both could definitely show me some ropes, as I will have no idea what to do when my work group is up. Lol

Sorry guys, my brain is a bit off with respect to the run groups.

Yes, I will run 2nd group and maybe even run OSP on Sunday so that the times aren't relegated to the bottom of the results list. At least thats what the Fresno group does with the Fun Run participants. Although I am not a points hunter, I do like to see where I am placed in the pack. Perhaps the Sac groups do this for their Fun Runners?

I just looked at the Sac SCCA website, they use the term Wrong Run Group (WRG)and class the car as you normally would. No points and PAX has a 1+ added to demonstrate that you are out of group. Fun Runs are held after morning and afternoon sessions as practice runs. Tomato/tomato, I understood what you meant.

Ah. Got ya. I was trying to figure out the WRG thing exactly, but sounds like it would work for our intent and purpose. Guess we will find out Sun morning and can decide what group we are in then. Lol

What is the surface like at the Stockton Fairgrounds? I am thinking of making it out at least Sunday.

Stockton has mostly rough/worn asphalt. At one point they did a "tarmac/gravel X" where they used the dirt/gravel parking lot next to the asphalt parking lot. That was a blast

Here's some a video from my last outing over there. Hopefully you can get an idea.

That was a super boring course and you need to tighten up your lines a bit. You made the course a lot longer than it needed to be. If you're on stock tires and don't have a front sway bar than it's ok for your car to handle like a dump truck and the lines aren't all your fault.

Yeah, this wasn't my best run since it was the last run and the red mist quickly clouded my focus. Just wanted to post it since it gave a good view of the surface. Autox has never been my strong suit, so there is definitely a ton of room for improvement, car was completely stock but @mkiisupra was too and he was putting down quick times, so I'm pretty sure it was mostly my fault .

Agreed that the course was boring, but that's what you get when you have the corvette club...ermmm.. I mean Sacramento SCCA designing the course
