What do you guys think about getting together at Parry's Pizza in Highlands Ranch next Thursday (the 13th)? It's on the corner of Highlands Ranch Parkway and University. 6:00 p.m. work for you guys?

That's a bit of a drive for me (Lodo area) but I'll try to make it!

We should pick a more central place. Helps for us guys up north. Something in middle would probably get more people showing up as well.

Like maybe right off the highway somewhere.

Thursdays aren't good for me, but don't feel like you have to hold it up on my account if it works for everyone else.

Damnit, I came down with a cold. I'm not going to be able to make it if it's on the 13th.

Moving to the Denver Metro area this summer. Look forward to running into some of you guys!! (though I'm not looking forward to the butt dyno adjustment period as my car loses power due to altitude).

Yeh that part sucks. Just talked to another member who's moving to the Denver area. I think you guys will really like it here. Word of advice, get snow tires if you don't already have a set. It doesn't snow here as much as people think, and we actually get a LOT of sunshine throughout the year, but when the snow sticks you'll be glad you got the right rubber.

Yea, I'm expecting we're going to enjoy the area. We have friends in Castle Rock, and visited there/Denver for a day last summer during our cross country trek, and it was awesome. It's much more affordable than OC, and I expect there will be roads that you can actually drive on outside the city.

I was debating either a set of wheels/snow tires, or eventually picking up a cheap $1500 civic for snow days.

I'm eventually going to need something else to drive when/if I ever pull it off the road for a winter to boost anyway, right?

nope, lol. Well I hang with Pat frequently, but haven't had a multi-member get together in a long time.

If you take all winter to boost, of course, but that's if you take... ALL winter... What kits are you considering?
At this point you have another 7 months to weigh your options. My snow tires usually go on around the end of October and come off late March/early April. A cheap second set of wheels means I can swap when needed. A cheap Civic can be a good winter throw-away car and avoid possible winter corrosion on the 86, BUT, you'll have more expenses and maintenance, and you'll be depriving yourself the joys of snow driving fun in the 86.

Realistically I know its not going to be a project this coming winter anyway, but I've composed my build plans for the PTuning kit. It definitely won't be an all winter affair, but when the time comes I plan on taking my sweet time to enjoy the process, and I fully expect it to take at least 2 months, from parking it to fully confident in daily driving again. I don't want there to be any rush. Things never go right when you rush, .

Many many things need to fall into place before I can even start putting the plan into action though, so I've got plenty of time to save up, change my mind on the kit I want, scrutinize my parts list, change my mind again, etc.. It'll be a long road, but I'm gonna make sure I'm able to fully enjoy the rewards at the end.

First step is still finding a job in CO.

Haha, gotcha. Do you happen to autox? I'm going to give it a shot here in CO and am planning on the SCCA event on Apr 27th.
