I am running meth injection with the FB premium stage 1 kit with GTX2867 upgrade.

I'm using the Hydra standalone engine management system, along with their integrated Hydramist methanol system.

Part of the reason I went with the Hydra was the already integrated Hydramist meth system. I had read that implementing meth was really difficult using Ecutek.

R Compound tires are not drag racing tires. They tend to have stiffer sidewalls where what you want in drag racing is a softer taller sidewall. The best setup is going to be a dedicated drag racing only setup and I would get the smallest rim diameter that will fit over the rear brakes which will probably be 16" and then go with a quality drag tire like a Mickey Thompson.

Yeah, I suspect it would be.

The kit I have is activated by pressure switch, like most of them. how close to the throttlebody did you put the injector?

Are you using 50/50 or straight meth? I've mixed my own 50/50.

And lastly, and most likely cant be answered, but I suspect a substantial tune adjustment should be made, and im suspecting a dyno required. I hope distance tuning would work decently, as the closest ECUTek tuner is in Quebec I think, And i dont know them at all.

I only trust LJ and Bill, And i would trust james as well. All three of them are proven wizards.

I'm not sure exactly what triggers my meth, but I know it was easier to implement using the Hydra EMS and Hydramist.

I'm running 100% meth.

The injector is maybe 6 inches in front of the throttle body I think on the intake tube.

Yes, I think a dyno tune is necessary. Phil at Element Tuning said the Meth can displace up to 20% of the fuel used.

There's different maps used for with and without meth.

Anybody have any additional details on this used FBM kit for sale for $3,700:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61476

It appears the current owner bought both the FBM kit and an FA20Club kit used and then decided to sell both. Does anyone know who he bought it from? He is claiming 2,000 miles of use. He has some pictures in a previous post.

That's exactly where i'm going to put my injector.

Sounds like I will wait a bit to install it, until I can get an appointment for a real deal tune.

Distance tuning can be frustrating. lol.

Sounds good. The owner seems a little sketchy to me and doesn't have many posts, but I am somewhat interested in the kit.
