I ordered a Winks 5-panel rear view mirror yesterday
It comes with the two mounting brackets too
Nextmod Ottawa quoted me $80 on the phone and $85 in email and they done come with the kits
All in even including exchange and HST I'll be cheaper by $20 not even including the kits
Why do we still pay high premiums on stuff widely available in US online vs local?
It works for me getting it shipped to NY because i buy a bunch and the costs of getting there and back gets watered down - plus I fill up with cheaper gas

It's worth your effort to shop online then and get it shipped to NY you'll get closer to list price if not cheaper

I don't know. There was a group buy for the invidia overpipe through an online retailer for $235 shipped. Through JRP I got it for $240 plus tax. JRP offers a 10% discount to forum members and I was able to pick it up same day and support a Canadian retailer.

That's ok if you live near TO

Sorry - I'm just tired of paying a premium buying /supporting Canadian suppliers when - more often than not - they are adding on more than their fair share
Maybe JRP has figured this out and is finally selling stuff at the right priced now

Plus I am just a plain old f'ing grumpy bugger these days

Pay me no mind - nobody does anyway

Hey guys.
I have an used set of STI coil springs for sale.
They are in very good condition, had about 5000 KM.
I'm now asking $400 pick up at Ottawa, or buyer pay for shipping fee.
Let me know if you have any question.
Thanks!

Car show.

Well with it being -200 yesterday, I decided to go check out the car show. The FRS were well represented with 3 of them on display throughout the venue. I have to say as was the case last year the corvette offers the best looks to power to cost ratio of any vehicle. Simply stunning. The WRX STI was a real surprise. After the disappointment of not following through on the coupe that they showed last year in New York, in person, the 2015 model was very appealing. Was also impressed with the Mazda 3 both hatch and sedan. If I could have only one car from the show it would be the lotus evora for which our cars look very similar especially with beefier tires and spoiler. Looks like the summers and exhaust are going on April 6. Fingers crossed.

April 6 eh. I like the optimism.

I will probably do my tire swap/brake pad change/brake fluid flush after I get back from the Masters, which will be April 9.

Masters!!!

[QUOTE=jvincent;1621695]

I get back from the Masters, which will be April 9.

Will you be attending the practice rounds or the actual event? If the event, how did you score tickets for that? Damn near impossible to get them. Very impressed indeed.

Tuesday practice round.

My golf buddy actually won the lottery for the tickets and he needed someone to go with him.

Going to be spending a few days golfing in Pinehurst before we hit Augusta. 10-day forecast is showing temps of 24C right now and I leave in 11 days so it looks like I will be packing shorts.

While they may not carry everything it would be worth a message to Stav and at least ask what his cost is. you might be surprised and depending on his shipping cost it may be worth your time to not drive to the US and have to deal with all that crap.

I've done the same in the past ordered stuff to a US address and yeah at the time I thought I was saving money but in truth the closest border crossing for me is two hours away so i'm losing 4+ hours outta my day. My time is worth more than that.

Now I understand your border crossing is much closer and there is cheap gas available so in the end for you it might actually work out in your favour.

I just know that @Stav goes outta his way a lot of times to help members out and give them the best price he can. He has gone over and above for me a couple of times and i appreciate it and will continue to do business there.

Grumpy old man.... LOL....

Hi Guys,
I'm in T.dot today and tomorrow and just picked up some Motul Gear300 for the tranny from Paragon Competition (CASC sponsor).

If any of you guys need some, I can pick up some more before leaving. They carry the full Motul line.
$29.95/bottle 1L

Or we can split a set of 5 bottles to save some coin since our cars only require 2.2L to refill.

Tee time for #2 on Sun April 6. I've been there twice before, but this is my first trip since they "retro-vated" #2.

Counting the days until wheels up.........
