It's possible. I did it for over a month and half up until about 3 days ago. Just depends on how manly you are.

In other news... I JUST ORDERED A WING AND DRIVESHAFT ABOUT 2 MINUTES AGO!!!

Nice! And I know it's possible. Back when I was living in Florida durin my Honda days my ej1 was completly gutted, driver seat, and a dash. That was it. But I do like listening to music on the way to work.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I see a lot of people listening to headphones while they drive these days. I guess car head units can't keep up with the awesome interfaces of modern phones and MP3 players. Just my theory. But yeah, headphones are always an option.

To clarify though, this is a safety restriction that may or may not be in place in all states. In NY you can't have both ears in/on.

So tell me more about this deathly feeling at high speeds that has you adding all that weight and downforce to the back of the car.

MS Code has nothing prohibiting the use of headphones when driving. Considering you can't hear anything else anyways in your loud tin-can, I doubt wearing them in your case is any more dangerous.

Interestingly, though, I found this nugget of law.

Quote:
§ 63-3-1205. Driving through defiles or canyons or on mountain highways
The driver of a motor vehicle traveling through defiles or canyons or on mountain highways shall hold such motor vehicle under control and as near the right-hand edge of the highway as reasonably possible and, upon approaching any curve where the view is obstructed within a distance of 200 feet along the highway, shall give audible warning with the horn of such motor vehicle.
I forget we have a very small area of the state with "mountain highways". Though, it's hard to give an audible warning with the horn while carving such roads.
