That would then allow for maf scaling and dailing in afr values correct? The next thing I'd like is the cam timing for my headers, not sure if the standard e tuning package allows for enough revisions for that, unless someone takes a nameless equipped car down there.

Reckon you should just ask them, they may be prepared to do a bit of extra work if your the first one with that type of headers as they will then have a good baseline for future tunes with those headers. They look like their popular. Who knows they may have already done one. Does not seem to be an advantage in using tactrix/ecu flash as opposed to oft both can use RR to edit and ecuflash defs done by same persons who do RR defs. And if shiv fronts with wideband kit that solves another issue, especially if you already have oft. Only advantage I see with tactrix is faster flash time if you use onsite tuner about 1 min as opposed to about 7 min for oft, time is money on the dyno if your doing several flashes. Just weigh up pro/cons, better to have tuner on site but also good if they have prior experience on platform. |

Ok I finally got it working for me using the Ecuflash BRZ beta and the ZA1JA01C definition I found on Td-d's github page. Plugged my laptop into the car, loaded the openflash stage 1 tune, corrected the checksum, flashed the car, and she fire right up after I cycled the ignition once. Easy as pie.

I just got my Tactrix OP2 cable, downloaded/installed the EcuFlash BRZ Beta software, and connected my OP2 cable to the OBDII port of my FR-S and then to my laptop. OP2 does the multi-color light up thing when connected to the OBDII port, but my laptop cannot make a successful USB connection. I get an error that says that the device driver software was not successfully installed for the OpenPort 2.0.
I opened EcuFlash anyway to see if it would still read my car's ECU but there's a message on the lower right section of the interface that says: "No Vehicle Interace". I tried another computer in my house, followed the same setup procedures and am getting the same problem. Both computers are using Windows 7. Am I missing something obvious in my setup? |

Thanks for the suggestion, but when the EcuFlash Licensing window comes up its says: "Unable to connect to OpenPort 2.0. Licensing information cannot be displayed". I tried this with the OP2 plugged into the computer by itself and while it was connected to the car. Same error in the Licensing window both times.

Still no dice. I've completely uninstalled/deleted a few times. I even downloaded the J2534 DLL even though the Tactrix site says not to if you install EcuFlash. Very weird. I guess I'll send an email to Tactrix support. Thanks for trying help!

USB 2? If you try it on two computers and get nothing, it could be a bad cable or port. Does Windows ever beep for new hardware?

Tried different USB ports on my computers and same thing every time. I get a beep sound, then Windows pops a message saying it's trying to install the device driver software and then fails. The error message even references the device as "Openport 2.0", so it seems to communicate well enough to know what device it is. It just can't find the appropriate device drivers even though I've installed the BRZ beta version of EcuFlash numerous times.

This is the 32-bit base. Right click and download: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TD.../32BITBASE.xml This is the list of ROM xml files. Choose yours or the one you want to use. Be sure to get the raw version: https://github.com/TD-D/SubaruDefs/t...20standard/BRZ I suggest updating to this ROM if you have a US manual. However, if you want to load or modify your stock ROM, you can choose whichever: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TD...Z/ZA1JB01C.xml
