I'm planning on driving my BRZ down there again next summer. Thinking of taking a month or so off just to cruise. Anyways, when that time comes I will let you know. I need to see this car in person!

Haha yup, I was chatting it up w/ him about speculations on the mid-cycle 2016 model year refresh.

No rubs no where on front inside? You're not rolled or pulled past stock on ft fenders right? Man.....these wheels suit your car perfect.

I gotta say, those new wheels really set the car off, and apart. Looked amazing before, now its on a whole 'nother level. Very beautiful, very good job.

Also feels more comfortable than stock though the sidewalls of these tires are quite stiffer than stock as they hardly flexed when I bounced them before getting mounted. Steering is a wee bit heavier and U-turns aren't as tight. Feels quicker in a straight light partly to due more traction. Doesn't feel sluggish at all compared to stock. If anything, it's a little quicker but that may be the placebo effect talking.

Tire model has more to do with how it feels. I tried to pick the lightest (23 lbs), good performing, and narrowest (measured tread width is 8.7" which is closer to a 235 MPSS than 245 MPSS) tire without too much stretch. Hankook Ventus V12 255/35R18 fit the bill. Combined tire+wheel weight is about 39 lbs compared to 40+ lbs for stock.
let me know how the tread holds up because i was looking for a light weight tire and have only found this tire at 215/40r18 at 20lbs, and that's the lightest combination i could find as well for my wheels.

I had never considered the Hankook's until now. The're about the same performance as Conti ExtremeContact DW tires with less tread width and $12 more per tire. Same weight (23 lbs). Interesting...

It'll be awhile/hard to gauge since I don't drive the car in a regular manner like my daily driver. If you are concerned with tread life, might want to consider Hankook Ventus S1 noble2 which have considerably longer tread life and are a pound lighter at 22 lbs for 255/35R18. They are a step down in performance compared to max performance summer tires but TireRack rated them the best overall among ultra high performance all-season tires.

Just sent a join request. I'll be sure to follow the updates. That TRD Louvre is awesome. Hopefully I'll get to see it up close. It's that or Todoroki fenders...
