Good gains. This looks like a good EL header.
Based on the difference in peak gains (~15%, assuming 152whp stock power), on a dynojet you'd be looking at 190-200whp - pretty good for just headers! |

Well, i am very disappointed in those dyno results, I personally wanted to see a flat torque curve with more emphasis on 5k and up rather than a mountain of torque that will be useless once you rev past 5,000 rpm. I hope your stock midpipe is holding back the power over 5k and also that the tune in not optimal (not for your sake obviously, but rather for the performance of the header) Thank you for posting. If I don't see some more promising dyno's my coated header may be for sale in a couple weeks completely un-used.

What? Are you looking at the same dyno graph? There torque starts ramping up ~3000rpm, up to a nice plateu at ~3500rpm right where I'm sitting on the freeway in 6th gear. I highly doubt this drives "peaky". There's a torque bump on the dyno at ~4600rpm but from what it looks like this should feel plenty powerful at anything about 3500rpm. |

Another way to look at it - look at the stock dip compared to the tuned + header mountain.
I don't think there's going to be any more worries about "torque dip". |

Also, I think the majority of folks going for these headers are looking to eliminate the dip, but pick up a little all around. In daily driving I think most people aren't revving much over 5k. If you are, you are really beating on the car for every last bit of power. To each their own, but I think this piece achieves it's goals very well. We have our own equal length header that I will be testing soon as well so see how it compares. I'm interested to see the results. |

@mad_sb As per his edit this is with the 3" op/fp. So not being held back I wouldn't think. And it's still 9ftlb to the good at 7k. On this heartbreaker dyno.

So the header didn't require anything too drastic compared to your typical stock header starting profile? Interesting! Thanks so much for sharing.
