It's a Scion, there are no options other than color and transmission choice.

Accessories will all be dealer installed, and no, that list isn't out yet.

Other scions have plenty of options. The head unit is one likely option (pioneer bespoke vs. standard scion).

The first 86 only got to choose transmission and color, I expect a more fully featured options builder is coming.

Actually not correct I don't believe. Our agreement indicates final price will include options selected after pricing is available. It was only the initial signup where we had to lock in those two.

They will likely have options available later, but I know if Scion is going to launch the build page with options like springs, sway bars, tower bars, etc...

They're technically accessories, as they're all Dealership or Port installed. Toyota builds Scion's as "mono-spec" as part of their streamlined manufacturing process. The term "options" implies factory-equipped, which Scion does not do. The closest they get are Release Series, which are still mono-spec for that Series but differ from the typical model offering.

In my opinion options are options, as a customer I don't care if they are factory or dealer installed. Dealers can install plenty of interesting drive train/suspension/exhaust options.

And that is usually where you get to markups. $$$

I'm just trying to clarify the difference in the terminology. If you go and "build your own" Scion, everything you select after color and transmission ends up adding to the "Accessories" line in the pricing break-down.

Option = factory installed
Accessory = dealership/port installed

I remember back in the day ... I went to a Scion dealership...
I saw some Scion XB with giant speakers all in the trunk...
and some tom tom looking thing up front .. after market wheels
all as DEALER INSTALL and tacked onto the monroney sticker.
