Okay so I took my car to a different Subaru dealer to see what they said about these things. Well, it turns out that they refused to even look under the hood at the crickets because of the aftermarket intake. His exact words were "Subaru will not check out any car that have aftermarket parts."

That is a blatant lie. Get his name and information and take it up the chain to Subaru customer service.

Already called. Subaru corporate office told me their policy on modifications and said I was completely right in what I was saying and that they are going to call the dealer. The guy even said in his system that it says the car is modified. I told him yes it is. Air intake, exhaust tips only, remote start, and tinted Windows. All other mods are cosmetic and don't affect anything mechanical. Corporate also agreed that this is not considered highly modified and they are contacting the dealer and calling me back. The car is still at the dealership right now.

Where do you live that 2 dealerships would give you the same shitty service? I've only got 1 dealership within a 50 mile radius of my home and get great service...

Long Island New York. In a 50 mile radius we probably have over 5 dealerships. I hate having to call corporate because I'm not the kind of guy to cause problems but my last car was a Dodge avenger that I got screwed over with and I don't want the same thing to happen with this one.

You know, with all the threads complaining about improper denial of warranty service due to having car mods...I'm starting to think I should have a printed copy of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act kept with my User Manual.

Ill have to agree with you. I should make a copy of it and keep it on my seat everything I bring it in.

This would be great for someone in my case, where basically anything could be blamed on the turbo by a service adviser who isn't incredibly intelligent.

Toyota SE does window tint at port on cars so equipped. That would be warranted.. Anything after purchase not affiliated with the dealer I imagine could be voided for warranty service.. Depends on the dealer.

Regardless of whether or not the glass is factory tinted (which is done by tinting the actual glass itself), the addition of normal tint (which is a film applied onto the glass) can result in all of his window claims being denied. Tint can (and has in every car I've had tint in) cause issues long term due to the additional drag and window thickness in the sliders. You can avoid/reduce those issues (apply dry lube and normal lube to various parts).

The way it made it sound was that any mod would give enough argument to refuse work. I'm paying for an extended warranty on the car which I'm pretty tempted to cancel now that it seems pointless to have any warranty.
