I was looking for the same thing as you, a new 4R version of my 7S 5, when I posted the ad a couple posts up. A lot of new 4R Seiko 5's in Japan. Haven't seen a flieger yet, though.

I have a Rolex Submariner that I wear daily. I bought a Panerai, one of the other brands I really like a lot.
I found that I worried about scratching my Panerai, and that I wore the Sub almost all the time and barely ever wore the Panerai. If I had the means to own a bunch of different nice watches, I'd have a bunch of Panerais, they are really nice watches. |

My newest watch. I'm very excited that Tudor is being sold in USA again. Ill have to take a picture of this on the fabric strap. IMO it actually looks a little better that way.

Hi, this watch in the BRZ Gymkhana video caught my eye, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me identify it? TIA

Not sure about your model Seiko, but my Orange Monster you can pull on the crown while in time-adjust and effectively hack the seconds hand. I think if you pull and twist slightly it causes the seconds hand to run backwards too.

![]() Picked up my second vintage Omega. One on the left. Put it on a dark brown Hirsch Rally strap I already had. (Came with a hideous stretch bracelet.) Dial is pristine, movement is pristine, accuracy is awesome, lume even still lights up (but the amount is tiny). It's got a 1012 inside which is second best in the series (a 23 jewel auto, that isn't a chronometer like the series top 1011), which is one of the last pure Omega movements (non ÉTA/Swatch). Modern in the sense that it is auto, handwind-able, has stop seconds, date is quickset, and runs at 8Hz. But despite looking almost brand new, I can't say the 1012 is anything special to look at. But the case, argh... The dark spots look like reflection but it is actually the brass showing through the gold plate. So this is going to be a restoration project eventually. Remove old plating, polish brass, re-plate in gold 20 microns thick.

...teamed it with a light brown, stitched, leather nato strap ![]() Before the Seiko, I had an old mechanical Pobeda Russian vintage watch from '56. I loved it too and it was very simple, minimal and classic.. but it's nice not needing to wind every morning anymore..and it's also nice having a FLAT scratch resistant glass face, instead of the old vintage style bubble, like on the Pobeda

^ I ended up going with a smaller G-Shock with tide function, tough solar and atomic radio update. For sailing.
