The twins won't ever be anywhere near as common as a civic... and that is a good thing. I prefer it that way. I would like to see the car find a niche market like the Miata - keep it fairly exclusive.

In fact, truth be told, it would not hurt my feelings to see them stop selling the twins in a couple of years - makes our cars all the more rare/desirable.

Yeah, still don't see them all too often around here. However, the Toyota place in Macon has like 6 or 7 FR-S on the lot as of yesterday. I think the Subaru place still only has like 2 BRZ's though.

But I would be really sad if they quit selling the 86 twins... I don't even have mine yet.... Much less the second one I plan on buying...

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE! I mean I'm happy that the car is getting popular but damn lol
Drove 5 hours from northern Maryland to Virginia Beach and 5 hours back and saw only 1.

Moved out to San Jose, CA Bay Area here.
I see AT LEAST 5 of them every day.
Just like I thought Tesla Model S will be a rare and exciting sight (hardly the case), the twins are everywhere now... :-( No fun.

Around here, FRSs/BRZs are as rare as Teslas -- which means every time you hop on a freeway you'll see at least one.

But this is SoCal where just about the only car that might make someone look twice is an LFA.

I'm new to the forum. New to forums in general really.
I keep noticing everyone calling the FRS's twins?
What is the significance of twins?
I'm in North Georgia and about the only car more rare than ours IS a Tesla. I've seen 2 Tesla's in my life and about 10 FRS's since they came out.
I love the fact that everywhere I go in truck country I get these looks of "WTH is that!!" lol.
Any help with understanding the "twins" verbage would be awesome.

They're called twins because the GT86/FRS and the BRZ are made by "two" different companies, yet they are basically the same car.

Well, that makes perfect sense. LOL. I appreciate the response without flames. I thoroughly was expecting some amount of smaratassery in whovever responded.

Love the tailights in your sig. What in the hell kind are those and where can I find 'em?

I'm in SoCal too, North San Diego County.. During my normal weekly commute, I have seen about 10 FR-S/BRZ around on a regular basis. The other day, I was coming back from a meeting in San Diego, and I saw another 10-Series. We were rolling side-by-side for a while, then started to circle each other to check out the angles.. good times whoever it was..

Agreed. Although I saw two this morning on my way to work. There always the same drivers. I see about 5 or so on a weekly basis.

I'm the only FR-S that I've seen in the Tampa Bay Area with Toyota badges and Toms tails though.

Right now

Have a better chance of seeing polar bear in Ottawa as most here have put them away for this never ending $%$* winter. I would imagine in a few weeks that is going to change. Can't wait actually, as the mod scene is very much alive and well here.
