You want to check the BASE dyno aka stock run, vs what it did with a header only to see the real gains. Again PEAK HP is not the over all goal but more so the gains in areas the car needs it, like the torque dip and down low. Peak power is nice, but doesn't help get you out of corners or away from the stop light. ![]() As far as warranty goes, the only way to be sure you keep it intact is to keep the car 100% stock. |

They could be closer but I doubt it.

Are you suggesting that because modern cars have more parameters to adjust therefore it's not related?
It's much easier to swap tunes. They have less reason to check or even be able to notice it was tuned than showing up with a header or the stock on with clean spots or no heat shield. ECUs are locked because they can be.

To OP -- Thanks for the review, it was because of this review that I purchased this header instead of the JDL one.
I am awaiting for mine to arrive now from their manufacturer =) hope all is well so far! |

Everything is still great. I have about 250 miles on the header now, and I don't think I've listened to the stereo yet! Performs great. Sounds great. To me it seems quieter on the highway and definitely quieter when coasting downhill in gear. You won't be disappointed. |

I ordered my uel on Monday and the rest of my exhaust on Tuesday. I'll probably install it all at once in the fall when I get the header. Gives me more track time in my stock brz. Which is not a bad thing.

All the dynos to this point have been immediately upon install which shows no/less dip. I just wanted to confirm that 500 miles later, the car feels the same, for those that had ECU concerns. |

I'm also not in the warmest of climates. It hasn't been over 60 yet in Pittsburgh. Those in the south may experience a bit more heat. |
