+100

Obviously those of us buying are looking to purchase a car. The price will determine whether we're sticking with the AS1 or if we'll look at other options if we think the value of the car doesn't coincide with the price. I have a feeling "being able to afford it" is not a huge concern to the majority of us already with pre-orders.

from the responses to that article its interesting that some people mentioned that the dealer will tack on a redic markup, then during negotiation bring it down by half or more and tell the customer "we already took the price down by xxx" I could totally see it

FRS Base price 22,999
Market adjustment 7,000
total price: 29,999
YOUR PRICE: 26,500!!!

tell me that you wouldnt see that and at first glance think "wow what a deal!!" hahaha

Make more than 10k/yr and less than 100k/yr. Not willing to pay more than I what I think the car is worth. That simple.

Nah, not a pissing contest. And you quoted me anyways lol. Hell, I bought a used STI for 25k when I was making 35k/yr lol. So it's feasible regardless as long as you manage your money correctly.

if some dealer has the balls to put 7k on a prius C, I feel like a 5k markup on a car that is actually in demand isnt going to be uncommon... If anyone actually buys that car with that markup they're complete fools, but that's another story...
I think the Prius C is selling like hotcakes... Perhaps with even greater demand than the BRZ... But your point still stands.

Just more speculation unless you have a source.

see the other thread:

which is why i said unofficial official, we've acquired info in this format before that was true, so i'm thinking this is going to go one of 2 ways

1. Info is right
2. Info is wrong and actual price is less which lets us say "aw shit what a deal" and buy.
