Defending or not, it was a good point.

I'm also assuming I am one of your first customers running this tune?
I have not tested the effects of MAP sensor miscalibration. Or calibrated any sensor other than the one that comes standard in the Vortech kit. So I am not even remotely comfortable with inputing unknown/untested values in the OFT300 map and sending it to you to test. Nor should you be comfortable with it. As I've been saying for several days now, I highly recommend you get the standard sensor from Vortech.

MAP sensor changes is a couple of values in the ROM that were mentioned above. Not one single other table or value needs to be changed and it won't impact one bit how the map runs. This isn't a case of it not being tested one bit. I understand where CJ is coming from, I also understand Shiv might not be available but as he's already sent a map then he's already offered his help.

As far as I see it, having those map values changed are part of the core principles of the OFT, surely?

When writing code to release into a production environment (i.e. giving it to the users to make use of it). I would NEVER make a change (even a minor one) without methodically testing it first. That's just plain reckless. In most software & hardware development environments there are full departments devoted to nothing but Q.A. and UAT prior to any release no matter how small.

Personally, I'd deem it foolish and unwise to send out untested code (even if the change seems small) for untested hardware (the new sensor). I would also deem it unwise to try to speak for the core principles of an organization and it's products that one is not directly involved with.

Respectfully,
DAE

Wait, so he ignored your advice and proceeded to push you just because he decided to install the kit today?

I can resend it to you this evening when I get home. I'm was pretty sure I sent you a dev file for the OFT300 map. But it's not beyond the realm of possibility that I sent you the wrong dev file.

Ok. Thank you shiv. On the top of your head do you know what the name of the .dev file is because the one you sent me had the same name of the 1.56 dev file.

My email is cjsporl@me.com

For the oft300 dev
Thanks again shiv I really appreciate it.

I checked out outbox. I definitely sent you the correct .dev file. You have delete the .dev file you have in your OFT and add the one I emailed to you instead.
