Now I get gas whenever I need gas, at whatever gas station I see first......and am getting 490km's to a tank or 8.5L/100km's........all with no noticeable difference in performance.
To each their own, but with Zero difference for me, I am not going out of my way, or spending more for something that gives no difference.
I also have a friend who's Dad works for a major oil/gas company that told me that ALL gas comes from the same storage tanks (in Calgary) and is picked up by different fuel tankers (with different names on them like Shell/Petro etc) and delivered to the pumps. I don't know if this is true, just what he told me, although I do know that there is a lot of competition for gas, and marketing/gimmicks are used all the time to get people to use a specfic company's fuel......again, just my opinion, but I'm sticking with what works for me!
Yes all gas is the same when they are pumped on a tanker, now whoever the tanker is going to (shell/esso/petro ..etc) has their own additives they add on to that gas, which makes it their own blend.
If you can prove to me that you get the same gas mileage on superstore gas as you do on shell gas I will pay for your tank. I know this is not possible.
The top 3 always have the same gas prices.. only a few stations give out gas discounts/coupons (superstore ?)

Shell and Esso are both ethanol free 91. Husky 94 is like taking regular 91 and adding water to it.. worst gas ever, petro 94 is slightly better but still not real 94.
And your frs is at 63000km already? holyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Ya lots of that is road trips. I did 11000km the first summer I owned it driving from Calgary to Montreal and back. I did another road trip west last summer and drove the Pacific Coast Highway starting in Seattle to NorCal then back through Nevada-Utah-Idaho-Montana (another 8-9000kms). 1 <3 US highways with 75-80 mph speed limits and cheap $45 motels. I've had my FR-S nearly 2 years and it is also my daily driver so the KMs pile up.

What about Chevron 91?

You are saying everything is 91, but GT86 requires 93+ octane

website

According to this site, British Columbia is only Chevron 94

Crap, I just read this here:

Unbranded - UNBRANDED
Stations In Victoria, Victoria BC
Ethanol-free octane ratings:
GPS coordinates: N 48.42681 W 123.36222 (located from address)

I canvassed the major dealers and Co-op for Victoria and learned that stations (except Chevron) sell pure gas ... no ethanol. The delivery equipment on the Island does not accommodate Ethanol.
