I wasn't sure if it was the crosswinds or the tires making me track all over these stupid concrete roads in HR.

It's probably both, though. I was swerving like a drunk person on my drive to work.

Finally took the ole girl into the dealer for the slight burning smell when stationary. Put dye in my oil. Gonna return next week. They suspect they'll need to pull the engine to get at whatever gasket is leaking. Oil level has always been great, probably a real slow leak, eh... More trouble than I was hoping for a slight oil leak but might as well get it done while under warranty.

Anything else I should get done while they're at it?

Hey just a question for you people...

Half my vehicle is getting repainted because of a rear end accident.. What special care do I need to do with the paint?
Can I wash it, wax it, how should i baby the paint to let the paint cure?

Just nothing super harsh. They'll probably wet sand and use a machine buffer on your car after painting anyways, and most paints now-a-days are cured very quick. No auto car washes (as they can have harsh chemicals to make up for not physically touching the car). After a week or so you'll be good for whatever.

YES, F1 is back. New regulations and turbos. Should be a good season.

I'd avoid waxing it for a while. ~3-4 weeks. Also, even though paints cure pretty fast, they seem to take a longer time to harden. They seem to get swirls and whatnot easier when freshly painted than after a while.

When my dad had his Miata repainted last year, letting it sit out in the sun for a while made the car give off a bit of a 'paint shop' smell, even though the car sat longer than normal under the heat lamps.

If I were you, I'd keep it clean, refrain from waxing it, and park it out in the sun for a while for three to four weeks.

Damn. It's gonna be hard to keep it clean.. I saw on weather channel that we might get another snow storm on Monday. -_-

Also doesn't hurt to ask the paint shop about it. If they're a decent shop, they know their supplies and the timelines for it.

There's just so much fail in this post.

"Best," "lowering springs," "stance," and "quality of ride" should never be used in the same sentence.
