You don't feel the least bit cramped? Maybe it's the pic but given your body structure, it looks like you are stuffed in there. I'm curious on the long term comfort; say 30 mins onward since most drives most of their time in their car.

This is one reason why I'm going to steer clear from dark colored cars. Orange peel and swirl marks become more obvious.

I would be comfortable for 30 minutes, when seats adjusted I was comfortable. more or the cramped side, the only real problem was my knee on steering wheel when i went to brake. but I'm gonna lose some weight, and if i do buy (still don't know pricing) i would eventually put in a flatter racing seat which would give me about an inch or more headroom and legroom, most people would feel comfortable in the FR-S seats, "hugged" by the bolstered sides and back of the seat, I kind of just smothered those seats. thats my only real complaint, but I'm a big guy, i wasn't expecting anything different from those seats =]

How about getting in and out of the vehicle? Did that seem like you were crawling into a cave or a sewer tunnel. That's what my gf says I look like when I get out of her IS.

So, what are they going to do with these two cars? Just let them sit on the lot or are they selling these units?

the open space was fine, just that its so low made it interesting, almost like going from standing to sitting on the ground to getting up again lol. it was MUCH easier than trying to get into my current car (Mazdaspeed6) Sedans are killers for me..i have to do a like bent over squat and then kind of fall into it...ive banged my head quite a few times on the steering wheel..because with the seat all the way back in ANY sedan it means the seat is behind the B pillar...i will probably never own a sedan again for my DD.

Potentially goofy question, but since you are one of the first to drive it......

How loud was it in the cabin while driving? Any evidence of engine sound being 'piped into the ****pit? One of the reviews stated the occupants had to shout to be heard. Was that your experience as well?

They are prototype preview cars, the interior is a little different then the production models. As for what will happen to them i don't know, they may just remain display cars, or get sold to Scion employees, or go on display in a museum ?? is anybody's guess

my drive was too short, but i didn't have to shout, maybe if you were flooring it while trying to talk...i was talking with Mike the whole time.

Oh, if they are prototype cars, no one can sell those cars. They don't have VIN's either. I am surprised they let you drive one on a public road.

It's orange peel alright! But it's a cheap car, and that's how they come nowadays. I wouldn't wet sand it, because the whole car will be like that, but a nice first detail should clean it up enough to where it isn't as noticeable.

Those cars have VINs, and usually have special manufacturer plates from Michigan or California... it's pretty common to see them all over southern California and Nevada testing.
