Keep dreaming. a matte finish is never going to happen on a mainstream production car like this.

Have you ever read up on what it takes to maintain a matte finished car? You can't wash them. They have to be steam cleaned. Can't wax or polish them like normal either if the paint gets scratched. Can't do a clear coat with a matte finish either so those scratches will be much more plentiful & obvious to the eye.

Love the measurements! They are very helpful!

But remember guys, there's no better way to fin out if you are comfortable in this car than going and sitting in one yourself! I suggest finding the nearest one and getting in it! It's certainly an exciting experience.

I have been lucky enought to get two chances and this weekend will be two more haha!

Yes I recall that post. I wonder what the paddle shifting with the automatic is like? Hopefully, I can give it a try!

I didn't realize that brochure is downloadable right from Subaru, so it's the official numbers they're advertising to the public. http://www.subaru.com/content/downlo...s/2013_BRZ.pdf
Still waiting on Scion to confirm and for the numbers to be posted on fueleconomy.gov

Doh! I just realized I have a hard copy of this. They were giving it away at the Atlanta International Auto Show this past weekend.

I'm 5'4" , so plenty of space for luggage, etc. And the length is like 56" if you fold the seats down, so should be no problem going to IKEA and buying stuff.

I went to fueleconomy.gov and sent an email to their "contact us" email address. I actually got a reply in less than 2 hours! It says:

Thank you for contacting us. It is my understanding that we just received records for the 2013 Subaru BRZ and the 2013 Scion FR-S. we should have them posted shortly – probably by tomorrow. We used to get data releases from the EPA about 5 or 6 times a year spaced out every couple of months or so but lately, we have been receiving data updates more frequently with just a few models each time. There is no set schedule but we try to get the data posted as soon as we receive it from the EPA.

Looks like the numbers are determined and they will be posted soon.

Those fake vents-cum heat extractors will surely become a token aftermarket part made by anyone and everyone!
