Thanks to all for clearing this up, The last time I dealtt with Ecutek was on a kids subura a long time ago and he hated m ever since.

If you can tune the basic Ecutek kit why the dislike? It mut be old sins are hard to forget. So many good east cost tuners spit out "we only ue cobb on subarus Ecutek makes your ECU exclusive", self tuning never came up.

Its almost funny that ecutek has been with these cars and I haven't seen one person post a self tune.

Times have changed a lot thanks for brining me up to speed.

They are. I though you were just looking for definitions file (XMLs). To download B01C bins, you can download the OTS map folder from openflashtablet.com. They contained tuned B01C .bin files. For a stock file, just email me or download the link that td-d posted today

Shiv
T-d posted an automatic calib I don't think would be good for my manual.

Let me get this traight (I don't mean to be a prick just trying to get my hea aroun this stuff.)

I want to load the Exact Factory B01C calib as if I took it to the dealer.

1. buy OPT (do I get the discount on the headers if I order when it warms up? )
2 email you asking for the binB01C which is not in my ECU an only exists in Ecutek land and Toyota a far as I know)
3. Put he bin on the OFT
4. Flash with the OFT
5. Have support if my ECU locs up

Thanks again for bearing with me a lot more choics and techniques than I expected.

Confirmed. You just won't have access to the RaceROM features like the ability to create custom tables for things not in the factory ECU code.

I have a manual B01C rom file. So it exists in OFT land All our OTS B01C maps are based upon it. If you want to update your older ROM to B01C, I can provide this map to you. As with all our OTS maps, when you check your ROM ID, I will still remain the same as you have now. But you will be running a stock B01C ROM. Which you can then tune or remain stock. Make sense?

Shiv

PS. And yes, it would qualify for you discounts on OFH, intakes, supercharger, etc,.

No, I didn't. B01C is manual, as the definition states.

If all you're interested in flashing the dealer update, you might as well just get the Tactrix for $180 and use Ecuflash. Cheap and easy.

Add the rom for the poor 2012 MY build date vehicles. Many bought the OFT just for this day so they can finally get the di seal fix.

No, they are not, the changes are just to areas of the rom that are not defined by current rom editors.

Some examples:

This byte is changed from a 1 to a zero:

ROM:001193C9 byte_1193C9: .data.b 1

This word is change from zero to 0x60

ROM:0011947E word_11947E: .data.w 0

This float is changed from 0.5 to 1:

ROM:001196AC flt_1196AC: .float 0.5

and a couple of other changes.

=============================
First file name: ZA1JB00C.hex
Second file name: ZA1JB01C.hex
59 : 59 Byte(s) diff
1310661 Byte(s) match
1310720 : 1310720 Byte(s) total

Incidentally, all the changes seems to be around the idle related logic.
