I flashed a 4.4.x rom last night (to my att s3). Its "the collective"'s AoSP. So far, so good. It streamed Pandora for me for about 20 minutes on my commute without disconnecting.
It did not show the track names though. The theory about text messages could still hold true and once I get enough stored texts it might fail again (and only have worked at the moment because it is a fresh flash). (As another aside: I'm not sure I really like this rom. The red theme is crap, and the google search bar is enabled by default on the launcher, and it rebooted at random on me this morning.) |

I ended up not liking the AoSP rom.
I flashed something a little more well known this weekend. It's AoKP with a 4.3 android and a 2nd gen radio (mr2) and so far it works. The mr2 radio might be the trick. The mr1 which most roms use for 4.3x android roms might be what has the bluetooth bugs. Bluetooth didn't drop out on my commute to work and it shows title and track on the headunit (with Pandora). |

I hate the stereo, I want to take it out and shoot it with a gun.
My phone pairs fine with every other blue tooth device I have (tablets, bluetooth speakers, computer, etc). My BRZ? Fuck no. Is that a bluetooth phone? Get that shit out of here; I got RADIO buddy, learn to like it. Nexus 5 btw. |
