I don't have any experience with the GT-R (although I'd love to) but from what I understand it's pretty comfortable as far as ride and interior goes, its biggest complaint I believe is its very artificial in feel, like with the twins you have that connected to the road feeling, with the GT-R its all very technical and disconnected. I'd check out the Top Gear review where Clarkson nearly breaks his neck in one.

R35 Maint. is really expensive iirc. Something like 12k for new brakes.

I'd consider one if it was in manual.

So you'll pass on a McClaren, Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, and most Porches as well?

The GTR is a great car i drove several cars that were at the dealership I worked at. The biggest complaint I have with the car is like stated you feel distant and as though the car does all the work. It is so comfortable you forget what speed you are going. The dual clutch is actually pretty fun.

Once again like you stated apples to oranges but if you are looking for something comfortable fast and easy to drive as a dd the GTR works if you are looking for something raw rigid and well a sports car I don't recommend it.

If you can afford the maintenance on the GTR, then why not? It'll be faster, more comfortable, quieter, more range on a single tank (unless you're using POWERRRRRRRRRR all the time), more interior room. It's more of everything. Even the price.

There are some guys on this forum who have owned both, like GTB/ZR-1 and tonylop33. You might try PM'ing them.

hahah i have seen that episode, but from other reviews I have seen and read most say that the car isnt completely technical and it does have a soul, you just need to try harder drive harder to find it.

Ive been looking into everything about this car for about 4 months untill i, ready to buy, an maint. can be pricy but i believe most of it is greatly exagerated.

i was just curious about the comfort and ride because i hear complaints but in my frs you feel every single thing on thr road so can it really be that bad on a gtr

That's a bad thing, in my opinion, since it means that either it will be lacking in fun at normal, legal speeds, or it will encourage you to break the law pretty dramatically on public roads. Sure, it would be fun on a track, but for day to day driving, that's a really bad characteristic for a sports car to have. In my opinion, a sports car should be engaging and fun to drive at all speeds.

I undestand what you mean, but i dont think its to big of a deal i mean you can only do so much on a public road regardless of the car

GT-R is a perfect car, if you do any of:

1/ Hanging around Night Clubs every Night to grab a girl

2/ Having to race it in the track with Wagered Money to the winner

3/ Having to Displace it in your Glassed Garage while enjoying a Glass of Wine and Banging the chick you picked up last night

4/ Out run the cop with your Cocaines, or Cash in the chasis, or Filming Fast and Furious Episode 11

GT-R is bad for any of the:

1/ Daily Drive, because Maintenance will bite you in the nuts, and you drive 65 MPH @ Max speed Legally

2/ To Brag at Coffee meeting, who cares ? Yes, you can afford the car, but it doesn't mean you make use of it

3/ To enhance your EGO, there are many other vehicles in the Ball parks to do so

I may be exaggerating some of them, but you know what I meant

I rented one a while ago. Loved it, and am still planning on buying one in the future.

Seems odd to switch from a driver oriented car to a video game on wheels. There are other impressive cars in that price range that will still give you the driving feel of the FRS with the refinement you're looking for.

Something like a Cayman S, Evora S, R8 V8 or even an M3 if you need some back seats.
