I noticed this as well with my 10 Series. However I discovered that if you leave it in Auto mode. The difference between the two disappears and 19 becomes more of what 19 should be, not blistering heat that is felt with auto-off. Not sure why that is. So I just keep it in auto now.

No problems driving today. There seemed to be a lot more asshats on the highways this time around though...
