Sweet, I'm hoping to pull the trigger on a kit with GTX3076 upgrade, built block and the works, saving up as we speak, aiming for 450whp on 91 octane

How much boost? And do you think i'll be able to get that 450whp mark with a built block?

wat you talkin bout? I told him that his clutch won't last long at the 9 to 14 PSI he wants to run. I told him if he really wants to keep the stock clutch then he is going to have to run less boost. I still recommend the ACT clutch/flywheel as the best value.

Only if you live in South Florida, and even then it is only a 50/50 shot.

@Ironsquid I plan on getting the GTX3076 with a .63 A/R backhousing, 0.63 to try and minimize lag and to try and make it about on par with the GTX28

13.5 psi

Built block gives you more tolerance to knock conditions. Doable/Probable. Especially if you do the "timing" trick.

Usable 450 everyday on 91octane might be a little hard without the extra VE a 35r brings.

Really depends on your compression and headwork if you plan on 450 on 91 oct

Sorry, not the most knowledgeable around this stuff, what's VE? And I don't know if I want to go any bigger than the GTX3076 due to lag..

Also, what's the timing trick?

Volumetric efficiency. I will let @Ironsquid handle the "timing" trick.

Disabling knock correction and turning the timing up for a glory number dyno run.

Highly not recommended, but will give you extra numbers.

That sounds like something Toni would do... LOL

I think I'll stick with the GTX3076, because like I said, I don't want a lot of lag, so I guess whatever numbers I get will be the ones I'll have to settle for, planning on getting it tuned by FBM

Highly doubtful on Canadian 91 pump and if it did it wouldn't last long

For what it's worth the 35r isn't laggy at all on this compression. It would be easier to hit your target as well.
