i am also afraid of the other Problems that the STI Speedometer brings with :

See,all Japanese Electric Parts ( we all know the Problem with the BRZ Twin Foot Lamp or the Problem with the Remote Engine Starter for BRZ , big problem to install with USA or German BRZ´s)

will bring Wire Connection Problems, too.

So, i guess that the STI Speedometer has perhaps other Wire/ Pin Connection
as our USA or German Cars !

Perhaps someone can say something about that prob !!??

greetings from Germany ( i hope my English is ok for all of You :-)

So, the only issue I see is if you replace all unit and you need in accordance to Subaru directions a new key code pairing.
If you replace only background you can try to see if board does not initialize itself when disassembling. I suppose that internal led are quite different as light diode emission...too.
But the big issue is the price, very overpriced.

See I also want to install the OEM rear fog light kit to match the Euro cars, but I don't even know if the computer programming is the same once I have the light + relay + stalk installed. Sigh!

So what's wrong with the twin footwell lights again? I wonder why the USA kit is only single lights. Current draw issues since we have constant on amber side markers at night? I also noticed our 3rd brake light only has 4 LEDs and not 8 or 9 LEDs like in Japan.

Hey, Japanparts has it under the BRZ STI parts. Fitment issues are for each individual to deal with on their own!

The only BRZ tS leather fob cover is the red one that DSOmegaX has.

The only thing I hate about the STI leather fob cover is that they made a cutout for the Subaru logo, yet no cutout for the buttons. I keep pressing the damn cutout thinking that's the button when the fob is inside my pocket. That's the whole reason I switched to the brown BRZ launch edition STI leather fob cover (no logo cutout FTW).

That's the JDM or World Market remote starter for many of the cars.^^
