Im sure you could fly by v8s, and with proper rubber fly through corners too !

Regarding a Bbk, a decent rotor, pad, fluid setup should be enough imho. But if you want the look too, and don't mind paying the price its great

Leave the Buddy Club stuff for the sponsored drifters. If you want to do REAL track days, then go with the Essex AP Sprint kit and run a good track pad in the front and rear.

Any info would be appreciated. I know @JoeDrifter is running Buddy Club's on his drift project, monoblock design. They look pretty beefy.

They look beefy because they are cheap and most likely require the extra material to be as stiff as some of the competitor's calipers. If you have an aversion to AP Racing then please go with a Stoptech or Brembo kit. I would recommend Stoptech.

Tut you should know me by now, I need data. It's one thing if one person says something is crappy on the interwebs, it's something else if you link data that showed XX caliper faded beyond use at over XX degrees. Or maybe a picture of the monoblock splitting, etc.

I know stoptech and brembo are good companies and I wouldn't have a problem going with them. I like the design of the Buddy Clubs though, so unless someone shows me some actual reason I should not buy them I will likely lean that way and percolate a bit more on it.

On the flip side, I have seen pictures of destroyed brembos before. I like to think YMMV

Show me one Continental Tire or Pirelli World Challenge team running Buddy Clubs. Would you like me to show you what brakes they are running? I can't give you any data on Buddy Clubs, because there is none to give.

What's your opinion on the Wilwood kits?

You drive a hard point.

But, my rebuttal is that Buddy Club probably wasn't around when those teams were looking for brake sponsors. Sponsorships are just as much political as they are performance related. Not really proving the case either way, just making a point.

Lastly, If nobody stepped outside the line, we'd all be lemmings, driving the same identical car, and the racing world would never evolve. Look at Megan Racing, they've come A LONG way.

Glass half full, unless otherwise noted.
