TSW Nurburgring 18x8 35

Anyone have of pics of the wheel poke with the 35mm offset. Debating between the 45 and 35. How bad does the offset affect handling etc. I checked the wheel listings and would like to see some more pictures if anyone has. Thank you.

I was debating the same thing last week (same wheels but 17x8). I decided +45 because I don't like slam/poke/stretch. +35 doesn't look too bad, but with +35 you're stuck with it. Getting +45 you can always get spacers. I'm mostly content with the stock front offset, but the rear could use some help.

Not sure if you've seen this thread, but I like post_break's offset. Looks like he went with +45 and added spacers in the rear

I bought a set of 17x8 +35 TSW Nurburgrings and wrapped them in Michelin Pilot Super Sports 225/45R17's. I was unhappy with the offset as the front wheels poke a bit. The rears look perfect though. Luckily Discount Tire is letting me swap them out for a set of +45's, which I will be picking up in a couple of days.

Glad I went with +45! I'm planning on the same tires. In my mind 225 seems like it would be stretched on 8". How do they look on 17x8?

They do look a bit stretched, but it's not that extreme. I'll live with it as the 225 is a nice size and is cheaper than a 245. I plan on adjusting camber to stock specifications if I lower it eventually. I'm getting the new 45's mounted today and I'll post more pictures for you.

New wheels with 45mm offset! The guys at Discount Tire are amazing for helping me out so much! It's interesting how much of a difference 10mm makes. I'm very happy with the look of the 45mm versions.

Does anyone know if swapping to a lower offset compared to stock(35mm) would be detrimental to handling. Might go with 35mm + camber but won't be worth it if does more harm than good.

No, will not be detrimental to the handling. Minor changes. going to a wider wheel and tire will do more to the handling feel than offset changes

I am surprised so many people run spacers rather than get the proper set up to begin with. Granted they do make the car look better when the wrong offset is run. But the sacrifice to you car, unsprung weight, vibrations, and long term accelerated wear and tear from adding extra uneeded weight that in return can wear bearings faster is something everyone should consider before going with spacers.

Now I know that a 3mm spacer can't really be that big of a deal right? Well maybe not but after 50 plus thousand miles it can be trust me. Been there done that.
And to track a car with spacers is something that should be very thoughtfully considered before you actually do it. But again it really does make your car look cool. I bought my twin to drive, and track first most, looks always come second to setting up my car. Just my two cents.

That's my main concern with possibly running spacers. Autox starts later this month here and might be hitting up lime rock as well.

Think I just might run the 35mm to avoid spacers and longer studs +camber. Should compliment the RCE tarmac 2's nicely. My main concern is handling aspect. I will be running a wider tire compared to stock. Grip>Drift (for my purposes.)

Cool. Looking forward to pics. I need to pull the trigger on tires soon, I've had enough of the snow tires.
