I finally joined this forum as a member but I have reading it for a little over a year now. I can also say that I finally own a 2014 Scion FR-S in Firestorm color!
Love it so far and I can't wait to learn more about the car. |

Hello all! This is my first post! I do not currently own a FR-S at the moment but am planning to hopefully by 3rd quarter of this year if all goes according to plan. I just recently sold my first car, 1998 Corolla, although it was hard for me to let go of the car because of sentimental purposes. But it was draining my bank account because of the maintenance. I currently drive my families car which is a 2004 ford expedition v8 triton. And being a full time working college student, it isn't the ideal car to daily drive. I put in at least $70 a week for that monster. Although I saved up quite enough for a down payment for a FR-S i don't want to rush into a situation without extra money on the side, plus i'm waiting to see what the next update of the 2015 FR-S will have!

Bought a Whiteout down in Ithaca NY last Sept. Been in the garage since about Dec. My previous ride was this MR2 Spyder:
[IMG] [/IMG]I Imported a factory hadtop, pulled out the soft top, dropped in a 6 speed, PPE header and Borla exhaust, Recaro SRD's, BC Coilovers, Whiteline SB's, lot's of stiffeners. The springrates were too much for the street. But it was a sweet ride. Zero storage space. Before that: ![]() The body is a like a bank vault, and the sound from a flat air cooled six is pure pu$$y. HVAC sucked. The market for that car has gone way up. Current ride: ![]() I picked up a set of Volk CE28n's, which are 6 lbs lighter per wheel and just ordered a set Michelin Pilot SS. No plans to lower for now, just added the Whiteline 16/20 Swaybars with links. Lowering a car adds a few of things to deal with. Am in the process of redoing my susp alignment tooling and just built a manual tire changer. Will post in the DIY section.

Howdy, Ryto567 .......
![]() Your new machine doesn't require any "work". Just break it in gentle, wax it, put in premium gas and take it in for service at 7,500 miles. See ..... no work.... ![]() Now, some folks make "work" out of this car ...... everything from sticking on a shark fin antennae ...... to forced induction .... on to an engine swap. So, have at it. Most things you wish to do with the car, someone else has already done or tried .... so, the search function is your friend. However, if you get "stuck" shout out .... ![]() humfrz |
