This whole withholding price thing is really annoying me

I actually am less excited about the car now...

I've done my share of complaining as well so I don't want to be hypocritical, but why did you have to create a brand new thread of complaining when we already have more than one thread where we're doing the exact same thing? IBTL

Visibility is a good thing. This forum's got enough exposure that it's almost impossible for reps at SOA not to be checking it out every once in a while, if not daily. As annoying as it may be to active members here, it can't hurt the chances.

Does knowing the price make the car come out faster?

I won't give you one of those "OMGee another thread? Rhetoric because I'm pissed there is no pricing for the FRS yet either. They keep us waiting on every aspect of this car possible, especially in the USA.

+1 not at all, but I think the logic now is releasing the price at / or close to actual delivery date to reduce "Pre-order remorse" and hence lower the odds of people bailing on thier preorders since the car will be right in front of them, instead of giving them a chance to ponder the cost and cross shop.

Just my 2 cents.

I don't know. From many threads on the BRZ/FRS side, people have a limit on what they want to spend (or so they say) with many willing/currently cross shopping other cars. If price is too high, I see people walking away. Just read all of the comments to that effect.

Not disagreeing with you at all. But given that what you say is mostly likey the case, it makes more sense for them to wait instead of releasing now, if only to keep the few that may be swayed.

The recent announcement from Ford about a price for a car that hasn't even started production really illustrated how overdue Toyota and Subaru are for announcing FRS/BRZ pricing.

I'm with ya Hanzo, it's annoying.

Definitely annoying. At the same time, no reason to go nuts over something you can't control. Pricing will come out soon enough. In the meantime, I'm trying to save a few more bucks for that down payment.
