Full update later. Here's the TTD MSR Houston CCW track record lap, in poor quality.

Corr Performance Tuning actually tune your car or did you just get it dyno'd? Would be nice to find a tuner in LA.

Corr and I are working on lite sponsor agreement. We have not tuned the car yet.

Just read your thread, very nice car! (Also nice driving!)

Do you have any advice on understanding the SCCA classing/rules. I keep trying to figure out the STX/STU stuff but I can't seem to find good information.

Advice for a first timer?

Some advice I'm sure anyone in this will likely agree; drive what you have for now. Don't worry about classing until you're past the basics which takes months.

Modded Twins all go to STX, not STU. Full exhaust (but you need 1 cat), tune, intake, coilovers, 9" wheels, bushings, lightweight battery, upgrade brakes. That is the gist of STX allowances.

Yeah, from speaking to people on here and IRL, it sounds like I'll be sticking 100% stock. The STU guys will have better tires on the stock rims; but I won't be able to compete the first year anyway.

Apologies for hijacking this build thread; I'll put future questions in the STX thread.

Since stock class doesn't run slicks anymore if you are leaving the car stock, a set of tires and most importantly some seat time will put you in a competitive place.

Its been awhile!

Car has not changed to much. I just put a new exhaust on and new tires for the start of the year. We ran in New Orleans last weekend with Bad Panda Motorsports in prep for the Dixie tour last weekend. I managed to get the quick runs in the morning and win STX. Christy came back in the afternoon for some extra runs and beat my best time by 0.058. It was a close battle. Their car is more agile than mine but mine makes more power making for a close race.

Leave for Dixie Thursday afternoon. STX is STACKED. A lot of notable names on the list, more National Champions than I have probably ever driven around. My poor car and myself are ready to give it a shot!

Here's a video of a run I did in my friends all stock brz on 255 Z2's

Look forward to meeting some of you kids. I'll be there in STX as well driving Danny Kao's FRSarri. Looks like a stacked class of 22, but we're all competing for 2nd. Two words: Bryan Heitkotter. Just hoping to be within 1.5 seconds.
