Given the few complaints stemming from what might appear to be self-install related issues, I would recommend against it.

I must agree with this

I had my AVO kit professionally fitted and tuned in August last year, and have not experienced any of the problems or issues the "self install" people have had. In my opinion, it was all money VERY well spent

Just like suko, im looking to get the AVO turbo. Would this turbo be a perfect choice for me? I daily drive my car and will probably rarely see any track time.

Let's put it like this. I daily drive my car went turbo at 3,040 miles with the AVO kit. Have not had any issues with the car or kit. I'm currently at 13,545 in less than 6 months. Will be going E85 in two weeks. Every supporting mod is completely stock: injectors, fuel pump, radiator. I just recently replace my clutch as it began to slip. Currently running 10psi on shitty 91 oct making 280 whp and about 232 wtq. Will be planing to track the car in a few months after I get my tax returns for a cooling solution.

I'm interested in this kit, because it appears to be the only kit that has the paperwork necessary to get it past inspection where I live.

I only want to use it for autocross purposes on E85 and because of it care really only about power above 4000 rpm. (Our autocrosses are relatively fast. We can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. So maximizing power at higher rpms would be beneficial).

I would like to install this kit but switch to a larger turbocharger.
Is this possible (I read that there are space and maybe other constraints) and if yes what are the options?
For instance, I did read GT2817R, GTX3076R (Garrett) or T3 60 series (Turbonetics) or Precision Turbo 5858.
What turbochargers have actually been mounted/tested on this kit?
