wheels

I was cruising the net this morning, looking for some cool wheels for my Asphalt FR-S. I found XXR Wheels, which have a nice concave wheel called the 530 Intense. It comes in 17x8.25, not sure of the offset, and in flat black, chrome black and gold.

I called the manufacturer to locate a nearby dealer. Then I called that dealer... and after four different phone calls to locations and their warehouse it turned out that they were an XXR dealer, but didn't really sell or stock any wheels.

Called XXR again and the guy who answered told me that the wheel I was interested in was sold out. Then, when I told him WHICH wheel I was interested in he told me that pretty much everything they carried was back-ordered. Sheesh. Seems like a pretty cruddy operation over there.

So here is the pretty picture, not sure if these wheels actually even exist!

I just got my 527's in last week and love the chromium black color against my car. I'm just waiting to order my tires now.

I believe they do. That aspect i dont know as it was done behind closed doors. Every tire store will charge differently. If you choose to have them put on aftermarket tpms, it will cost 40 bucks. I was told that so i went with stocks.

The sensors will have to go below a set pressure before you get a warning light. I dont know that pressure but you should be fine with the aftermarket wheels.

If you were to reprogram the tpms the dealer would need to do it based on your new tires because its a federal mandate. At least thats what I had to do with my truck when the aftermarket tire pressure fell below the threshold

I have the 530s on my car in this color. Be careful while cleaning these. The finish is sensitive just like our clear coats.

XXR 969

Any word on when XXR plans to release these wheels? I just bought a set of 527s, but I want a set of 969s as well.

Thinking about another quarter inch lower on front.

Anyone running a staggered setup? I'm interested in XXR 530's.
Would like to see pics of 18x7.5 front, 18x8.75 rear.
Thanks!

When you're ready to get rid of your RSF5's, PM me, maybe we can work something out.

Even the 8.75s look thin on the rear. go with something that you can push out to 9 or more on the rear and 8.75 on the front.

The reason I want 7.5 up front is because I don't like the poke you get with 8.75 up front. Not sure how 9" in the rear would look, but I'd be interested if I saw some pics first. Gotta keep researching.
