I paid much less than I would have at the dealership. Pretty sure I saved over $1,000.

That's all I really envied from the GT86, don't really care for the push start or dual climate stuff and heated seats. So I'm a happy camper.

That's a spankin deal. You should buy it and bring it back.
@FRSHunter did your lights have a RHD beam pattern?

Lights are still coming in from Japan. I will confirm the RHD/LHD pattern when I get to work on my car

Skirts for men

So some purists are going to knock me for this decision,
but I decided to go with some replica TRD sideskirts made of ABS.
The authentic skirts were just simply a bit too pricey for me
as I saw other members buying these ABS skirts
and having them fit just good enough.
This is just a cosmetic piece, so it shouldn't be
too detrimental if I cheaped out on a replica.
Saved some dough for other priorities like my boy.

"Can we open it now dad?"

Quality inspection. No defects!

Time for paint!

Bittersweet

So today I finally got time to mount my body addons.
It was a relief to finally get them painted and mounted.
But the sad part is that the paint does not match!
37J certainly is a hard color to match.
I should have went with 36J, which was darker
and much closer to my car's color.

I may have to save up and get them resprayed or
go with vinyl down the line.

TOM'S

Paint looks okay in some lighting...

Pray for no scrapes.

Mounting it up!

Paint mismatch is an eyesore. Oh well! All finished!

The Whiteout paint is notoriously hard to match - you are correct! I believe it is a three stage paint job and is the hardest 86 color to match. The lip kit looks great though, especially loving that TOM's front lip

Doesn't help that Subaru's plant's supplier for J37 Whiteout/Crystal Pearl White, doesn't have pin-point QC to keep the paint the same colors on the car itself! I've seen so far 5 shades of J37 on the car itself...!!! It seems to just depend on which production months got which batch of paint... LOL Also the bumper not matching the body is sort of annoying but this one is true for most other cars as well, even Lexus and Mercedes Benz, as bumpers must be painted with flex-additives that change the hue of the clear-coat, and also that clear coat burns in the UV sunlight after a couple of years to aggravate this even more....

Nice Tom's/TRD match up on your car, by the way!!
