First of all, thank you for this thread.
I just finished replacing my transmission fluid with Red Line Gl-4 MT-85. The job was a breeze... i took my time and it took no longer than an hour. The transmission fill/drain plugs do not have crush washers, they are solid and reusable. Noticed a small difference after test driving, but i'll know for sure after about a week of driving. Anyway heres some pics: The Fluid I used ![]() Immediately after removal ![]() After a quick wipe down

I am getting ready to change all my fluids over to Amsoil, found this pump at Advance Auto Parts. It fits the Amsoil quarts nicely. It took less then 20 pumps to nearly empty each quart, the end has two barbs on each side which grab the threads holding it in the trans or differential. I bought two as they were only $6 a piece, no cross contamination.

Thanks to the OP for the great DIY.
Just finished off my trans/diff fluid swap (Motul 300) and the DIY instructions were great. My only issue was not positioning my bucket properly to catch the transmission fluid so I had a bit of a spill initially. |

Does anyone have thoughts on motul 300 75W-90 vs motul motylgear 75w-90. All of my searches have only found info that is years and year old, and that suggested the motul motylgear 75w-90 was better.

I had Motul Gear 300 put in (both trans and diff) by my local mechanic, and it definitely made cold gear changes better. It's still not perfect, but a definite improvement.
