The inexperience and fails is strong with this one:
I received my Raceseng Ashiko shift knob and reverse lock out today (awesome set by the way). Could not for the life of me push the tiny pin in the original lockout out of its place... (this is hugely attributed to lack of tools and young idiocy). Decided I could use one of those finely tipped philips screwdrivers with a generic sized metal hammer and hack away at my beloved stick. Once I sufficiently embedded said screwdriver with the pin unmoved, I tried prying out the screwdriver and found the handle stripped clean off from the tip. Spent ~10 minutes trying to pry what is now a tiny metal pin stuck out of the original pinhole until I eventually weakened it and snapped off what little metal protrusion was left. With one tool down and a now permanently affixed lockout...I moved on defeated to at least install the knob (which was successful!...after ~10 tries to align the inner adapter so the shift pattern shows correctly). The best part was finding out I am claustrophobic when I tried to do the clutch pedal height adjustment...Moved the entire seat as far back as possible. Proceeded to go down on my sweet cabin (in a position my SO would be jealous of). Aligned my back perfectly to spinebreaker position and loosen the 12mm nut...only to feel the blood rush to my head. As I tried pumping the clutch to try to adjust the first assembly I could feel my pumping hand losing its epic battle against the villainous stock height clutch. Then, my neck and skull, unable to withstand the sheer weight of beer belly and couch potato assault, slowly gave way and proceeded to lock my entire awkwardly sloped body into the firewall. I quickly (somewhat) tightened the 12mm nut back to OG position and had to rest for a good ~5 minutes before I could muster the strength to slowly reverse push-up-shimmy my way up my chair and climb out from that coffin. TD;DR - Tried to be car enthusiast, almost sacrificed self to the great Cthulhu , because racecar. |

Just installed Grimmspeed MCB. It's amazing what this little thing changes up the car. The brake feels so much firmer. The pedal travels much much less.

Buddy Club P1 Pulley Kit
Perrin Bigmaf Cold Air Intake Perrin 3" Catback Exhaust Nameless 3" Overpipe/Downpipe Combo I had to go 3" pipes throughout in order to run the stage 3. The gains are ridiculous and anyone who owns a stock BRZ that drives my car will wish they had the set up. You and feel the throttle pull throughout and it puts a smile on your face even more =) Considering headers in the future but need to secure a pro tuner because the stage 3 Perrin map right now is flawless so far. Big shout out to Jeff & Chris over at Perrin!
