I myself, like a lot of people posting here, have been trying to decide between the ABS Bayson R and a PU STI one, knowing the differences in durability I'm glad you posted quality pictures. I'm now leaning towards the ABS version, especially since I was going to give it a good coating of plasti-dip anyway. I think Plasti-dip over the ABS would make it look nice and protect it from scrapes or dings as long as you're not jamming it into a curb (which would probably break off a PU lip as well).
Yea if I knew they were like that I wouldn't have gotten it. I hope the ABS is better.

Either this week or next week. I just emailed them on the 24th.

We actually just sold out on the STi style front lip at this moment. This front lip should be back in stock in about 2 weeks.

I don't have much painting experience but are you planning to seal it with a matte clear coat seal? I think that's a good idea to go about. I would imagine the skirts will get dirty. Fast.

My body shop painter friend said any matte sealer from Rust-oleum or other major brand should work fine for simple body kit matte painting. He said it is good idea to seal because of the reason of easier to clean, avoid fading and longer color life.

Here are the full steps from my friend painter friend in case anyone wants them:

*Before painting, make sure you are in a decently clean area without much debris in the air and also with the temperature around 50-90 degrees.

(One piece at a time, try not rush the process if you want a good result)

1. Wash the body kit and dry it with something that leaves no fibers behind. (If you have compressed air, that works best).
2. Sand it with 300 grit sandpaper, for matte painting the surface doesn't have to 100% perfectly smooth.
3. Wash the body kit again, dry it and do a IPA wipe down.
4. Apply an adhesion promoter to the body kit.
5. Get some matte black spray paint and paint the color layers from light sprays to heavier sprays, with 15-20 mins between each layer. The technique is to progressively do more as the layers builds up. I would suggest at least 5 and probably good withe max of 10 coats.
6. Take your time! Seriously, there is no hurry even if your life is depended on getting the body kit painted...
7. After you feel like you got enough paint layers on there, nice and even, then apply a matte sealer to seal the whole deal up. Waterproofing it and protecting the all the hard work you put in.
8. If you can, it is best to leave the body kits to cure over a course of at least 24hrs before any polishing or removal of paint.
