Opinions? Should i get the Trd Exhaust or Greddy Sp Elite?
i have the chance to buy a usd trd catback with 1400 miles for $550, it sounds really nice, but I'm not a fan of the tips. The Greddy also sounds nice on youtube, but i never heard it in person, and the tips are great. Which exhaust is louder? Which would you prefer and why?...Thanks

For that money.. You have several good options.
I haven't heard the greedy system. I have heard the TRD and it's nice, but almost too mellow IMO. I got the Nameless axleback after several months of reviewing and research. It's in your price range and is an awesome system, again that's my opinion and personal taste. I'm old and don't care for loud, raspy or drone. |

$550 is a good price for any catback. The best way to describe the TRD exhaust is "this is how it should sound from the factory". It's only a bit louder than stock, and also has a deeper note. If you want a bit more from the exhaust but still want it to be subtle, that's the way to go.
Personally, I wouldn't get the Greddy exhaust, since the sound isn't really my taste. I'd suggest the Perrin 2.5" or the Tomei 60S. |

The TRD is louder than people tend to describe. It isn't obnoxiously loud if that is what you are looking for.

You can carry on a conversation, enjoy the radio at normal volume…, Etc. Keep your foot in it and it gets pretty loud but it's not obnoxious with a low tone and no rasp. Keep it in gear at high RPMs and let your foot off the gas and the thing sounds like a Maseratti ! Great build and looks... almost a shame it has to be hidden under the car. It really adds to the character of the car with the mature sound that is very entertaining throughout the RPM band. |

I have TRD exhaust, 550$ is a great deal for what it is. For me, its pretty loud since i added VTech Sc. Tone is very deep. If you check out a video on youtube of a TRD exhaust with UEL header, you will even love the sound more.

I like the TRD exhaust for these reasons:
-Closest to OEM meaning TRD could be bought from dealership so resale value takes less of a hit. -Quiet. If it's a daily driver I prefer quiet. But that's because I'm old and my days of being the community boi-racer are behind me so take that for what it's worth.

I like the Trd, i guess the only thing keeping me away was the look of the tips , but if they really bother me i could weld new ones one, correct? I was also worried if the sp elite would be too quiet.

I'd go with the SP Elite. Sounds and looks better IMO.
And quiet is a good thing, especially given how loud these cars get once you replace the header.

Neither. for $50 more, best choice is the Isis catback. $600 for 6hp, sounds good to me.
