Good thing you have the CF trunk to offset the weight of the bike.

I was pretty surprised that it fit so easily. Although next time I will be taking off the seat too since it kept wanting to snag on bits.

No way I'd trust that with my $10k bikes... I never understood bike racks on sports cars. Why? Just buy a beater, rent something or trade cars for the day? I have plenty of friends with trucks that'd love to trade cars for the day.

Also, I managed to fit my FS 29er in the trunk once so I think any road bike should be no problem. Had to take off both wheels and seat though.

Given the amount of time it's up there, I think I'd rather suicide than own an SUV for a daily driver.

I wouldn't let a friend drive the FRS, it's far too unstable for a random commuter to drive. The MR2 I would probably let them drive, you wouldn't be able to spin that thing out unless you were really trying to die, like hammering the brakes in a turn. More importantly though, I wouldn't want to drive some friend's truck, and owning a beater is a little pricy for something you're going to do once every 6 months.

This was a special case, I needed to get the car to a shop for some work and didn't want to take public transit home. It was a good excuse to get on the bike for a bit. And if the trunk is full of cargo for the trip, makes it more difficult to put the bike back there.

Bumping this thread. I just ordered this for my car. Do you have to mount the suction cups on the car while they're wet, or will it work dry?

There is a "fork up" attachment that will allow it to work with a Lefty.

The Seasucker instructions always mention having a wet application, this being done to maintain the suction. I'm not really up for trying otherwise, to be honest with you. Whenever I use it, I'll just take a bottle of water with me.

My 50cm bike fits perfectly in my trunk with the seats down and the front wheel off. No need for any racks, but this rack does look pretty cool.

I've been looking for a nice simple rack for my bike too. I have a 52cm Allez that fits in the back, but it's sometimes a pain to load in and out. I'm also planning to travel for a few tri's this year and need a better way to transport my bike without sacrificing any storage/ passenger room. I'll check this kit out.
