Check for bubbles...

Time to check for tire bubbles! I saw three today in the parking lot at school. The FRS got one in the rear a week ago, and the Audi just got one replaced.

Bubble checking!

They are a sign of damage in the sidewall ply's. they could potentially pop and get a flat. Worst case, the damaged belts can cause a full blow out at high speeds.

I got one 2 weeks ago on my TT, I had to do a 6.5 hour drive back from NH like that, luckily nothing happened. I could feel it the whole way home, I took local roads for more than half the trip to limit the speed I had to drive.

The scary part is that you can have bubble on the other sidewall not facing outside the car and you'd never know about it until it pops or you swap tires.

Haha, don't worry too much. Only when the winter get's as bad as this with all the pot holes should you worry.

Though they are patching most of them up now...
