Enjoy!
Okay, that might be the best enticement-analogy EVER! Well done!

I'm still a newb to the OFT though, my understanding is that buying the OFT comes with a couple/few FREE tune files for stock and some-what modified vehicles.

I'm planning to stay NA for the foreseeable future, but I do already have the TRD Intake and Exhaust (likely will eventually get the OFH) and over here in the NJ area we have 93 octane readily available (I'm not planning to use E85).

Are there included tune files that will work well with my config?

Thank you.
All Vishnu's Off The Shelf tunes and updaes are FREE, custom remote tuning and live dyno tuning are chargable extras. Also, Open Flash Manager (OFT interface) is FREE, DataZap.me log viewer is FREE, and RomRaider is ummm.... FREE!

Once you slap that OFH under your car and load up the stage 2 UEL tune, you'll be driving your 86 like you just stole it!

Cant Go wrong with a vendor like Vishnu, and Shiv's experience tuning

Just went ahead and switched to E85. Still in the learning phase, but from what I've been reading, I think my fuel trims are looking good, so I think the conversion itself went smoothly.

I'll try and get some datalogs this weekend to throw up, see what everyone else thinks, and see how it feels power-wise to me. Only drove it about 5-6 miles tonight, just enough to fill up w/E85, do the flash, and a few miles of 'settling in'. Very happy I actually have the OFT itself now.

Yeah thats the kinda cold where it hurts to be outside. I'm surprised at the drastic difference.

You could probably get away with it if you really wanted. Plus your first tank e85 will still have a tiny bit of 91 or 93oct mixed in with it. From what I've read that will really help cold starts.

This is my favorite thing about all this e85. Each gear pulls *so* well. Before the car started to feel sluggish after 3rd gear. Now it pulls well up to 100 so easily - I have a few twisty roads over here and in between a few higher speed corners I like to floor it and see how fast it'll get up to. Pre-tune it got up to maybe 85-90 one 1 particular corner, the other day it got up to 100 sooo easily and was still pulling well and I had to let off because I didn't want to lose my license :P

Not to mention, passing power on highway is much improved. 5th feels great and I rarely downshift to 4th anymore unless trying to get around an a**hole or really want to push it.

Next mod I'm planning is header + catback. But for now I'll just be tracking it & probably get the custom tow hook so I can tow some e85 to the local tracks and have some *real* testing

Also, my car has been having trouble starting. Which worries me a lil. The other day it actually stalled when trying to start it...

I don't know why because ambient temperatures were ~65 F. Is this something to worry about Shiv? Something that can be tweaked easy enough?

Also for those in cold climates, would an engine/battery warmer work for getting this started easier? I'm thinking about getting one myself just in case...

Got an email today saying the OFT was out of stock and my order wouldnt ship til the end of the week. A bit disappointing considering i emailed them Wed last week and on my order it specifically stated that they were actually in stock. Hopefully the wait and poor email response will be outweighed by the actual unit though.

Please PM me your name and contact info. If you were erroneously told they were in stock, I'll pull one from my secret batch of OFTs I keep for such emergencies

We expect to have our new stock of OFTs later this week. So once they are programmed and ready to ship, tracking numbers will be emailed out
