This is all in the planning stages, I just want to see how many people I can get in on this.

Also Houston, Austin, San Antonio folks you guys are more than welcome to join.

If we get a good turn out I'm going to post this up in other regions and see if we can get a good group to tag along and meet up in certain cities. If anyone has any other good idea to throw on top of this, go ahead..

Mike, Since this is shaping up to be an endless Winter and if you Dallas & Houston (and all points in between) folks are itching to do a road trip a bit closer to home...head over our way and join up with us Austin and San Antonio 86ers for a Texas Hill Country Twisted Sisters Run on March 29th. We'll meet up @ 9AM in Medina, Texas at a place called "The Apple Store" and leave there as a group for Leakey, Texas @ about 9:30. We'll do a brief stop in Leakey (last chance for restroom and gas) and then drive a loop on RR 336, Hwy 41, 335, Hwy 55 and then 337 to the Bent Rim Grill back in Leakey to have lunch together.

Route on Google Map: http://goo.gl/maps/RBCGN

Bring FRS/GMRS radios to communicate if ya got um. Typically, we'll stop a couple of times for photo ops along the way.

The twisties are a blast and the Texas scenery is awesome! Check out the San Antonio meet thread for more info as we get closer to March 29. We will get a participant list going pretty soon. This slideshow will give you a taste of the run...

Haha. Well, the Tail of the Dragon trip is tempting to me, too! Harder to schedule though as it will require more time away from responsibilities. The Sisters run is always a blast! Sometimes there's an occasional slow down with a slow vehicle or motorcycle in front of us but, we'll pull over to create a gap if it is in a safe spot to do so. Good practice for doing Tail of the Dragon for sure! Lots of aggressive hair pins, turns, twists, hills and long sweeping curves. Beautiful Texas Hill Country scenery - sometimes desert dry or rainy season green! I am somewhat biased but, I never get tired of doing this drive in the BRZ and going out there with a group makes it fun for sure.

List as it appears today...http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...=25908&page=53

Twisted Sisters Run
- Saturday, March 29th - Meetup @ The Apple Store in Medina, TX at 9 AM. http://goo.gl/maps/RBCGN
  1. TEWwild
  2. Extreme86
  3. Ranatsu
  4. Yellow13
  5. OVR_RUN
  6. Atemyshorts
  7. jimbobrand (maybe)
In large groups (we've had around 20 or so) we'd break off into smaller heats of 5 to 7 cars. Every 2-3 months we have an organized run...some of us will go out there at the drop of a hat so to speak...it is a temptation thing!

If you Dallas 86ers ever want to organize a road trip to come down this way for a 3SIST3RS Run - give us a heads up on the San Antonio Meetup thread. Pretty sure some of us will accompany you! Easily doable in a Friday off / Saturday morning run / three day weekend 1 or 2 night stay scenario and you can do some other things in San Antonio, Austin or Hill Country depending on where you stay overnight.
