Sorry to hear about your troubles @Formula Vee. It sucks that they treated you as bad as they treated me. Sounds like it's par for the course though. If you are going to use Accelerated Services, you better have all your fingers (and toes!) crossed.

The longer a car sits on a dealer lot, the more times a likely incompetent low wage worker is going to wash it. I picked up my car a couple days after the dealer received it and was only washed once. No swirl marks.

I would recommend JP Logistics for shipping. I've used several times and no issues. Price is good too.

Yup, my Firestorm is covered in swirl-pattern microscratches that I didn't notice when I bought it (it was night and I naively assumed that it being new and having gone through dealer inspection, everything would be perfect). Seen in on a few other 86's here. Funny because my '91 Z32 had no such scratches.

1- why would the shipper be responsible for paint spots on the car? do you think they somehow splattered paint on it?
2- if they were responsible, you started working on it before giving them a chance to inspect. that just makes no sense.
3- you had a bra put on with a open claim, then want them to pay to redo the bra?
4- i also gotta agree that if the installer of the bra did an inspection of the paint, prepped it himself, thought it was good to go and went ahead with the install, he should stand by his work.

it could be the car washes from the dealership. no way to tell unless you were able to see an actual car coming off the truck with plastic wrap.
