One could also say boxer = toyota as well. The ideal of the toyota sports car has come full circle.

For me, it doesn't matter whom the manufacturer. Both cars are the same car. Just packaging differences. I for one am happy the car is backed by two very talented car manufacturers.

Yes! If you watch the needle closely and pause the video, when the indicator says 99, the needle has gone down below the point the needle was at where the digital readout said 97, so they were switching into 3rd.

Check out a screenshot from the vid. The engine is well low to the ground. The only thing that is below it is the exhaust piping and oil pan.

The car might have been advertised as a "fun to drive" car with little mention on performance but there is a lot of potential for this car to become a great racing car platform.

I bet someone in the aftermarket business might just swap this engine for a STI boxer and just go mad on it!

Yes we all know about the potential for the car. That is why we like it so much.

STI swaps are already being done. So check check.

I couldn't agree more, I send a message to Toyota every day asking them to release the Toyota version in north america, along side the Scion and Subaru. "Built by passion not by committee." If this slogan for the car is true then let all fans, of all three brands, enjoy their passion for their brand.

Best video yet IMHO.

Nothing like slamming the gates in a light, high revving, 200hp car.. I absolutely cannot wait to feel all 200 horses take me into the next gear.. RWD cars like this one only come around every 15-20 years.

I think they already made one of those, they called it the MR2 Turbo.

Go to 6:05 in the video... Why is the front wheel spinning? I'm pretty sure RWD has been said since the beginning? or is it because the dyno works that way?
