I do that far too often. Lol. Especially when I was unemployed, I'd stay up all night watching something. That's how I got through Breaking Bad in about a week. Lol

Yeah, I know the info. The 215/45 PSS has an 8.4" tread. I'm wondering if it would looked stretched on an 8.5" rim, since it's almost as wide, despite only being a 215/45. I know I should get a wider tire, but the calculator I play around with to find the right size always shows speedo error. There's no "perfect" size tire for an 8.5" rim.

Rim width range and measured rim width columns you're looking for.

There is a perfect size tire for a 17x8.5 inch rim, the outside diameter is even identical to stock.

Wow, I was reading it wrong. I thought section width was tread width. Tread width for the 215/45 is only 7.7". The one that is the same width is a 245/40, which is expensive. Back to searching for a skinnier wheel.

What wheels do you have? I honestly think the combination of 245/40/17 and an 8.5 inch is perfect for this car. But have zero evidence to back that up.

I'm still on stock wheels. I'm looking to the future when I can afford summer wheels. I don't want to go that wide because I want to keep things light, but also cheaper. A set of 245/40/17 PSS is over $800. The 215 is almost $200 cheaper. Plus, skinnier wheels are cheaper too.

I'm planning on reshoeing the stock rims with PSS's this summer. I've yet to see a compelling argument for rims at this point. Not to mention most of the rims I've seen are ugly and heavy. If I'm going to pay that much for rims, there's got to be a functional reason, which for me means dropping at least a few pounds per corner.

Wow! Really? That's awesome! I miss the days when my brother and I used to shop for bats and find all the insanely expensive ones and wonder about the days we would be able to use them...

I had that problem once, than I tossed facebook and all of the annoying people with it. Problem solved.

My random thought for the day: If a tuner ever speaks of engine back pressure, don't walk but RUN away. Seriously, what is this 1934?

My mom's a nurse in the ICU and man, some of the stories...

She had a total of 6 DUI people that got busted one night.
One of them, who she nicknamed "Mr.Charming Personality" was featured on the news because he went the opposite direction on the freeway and killed someone while drunk. When he sobered up, he wasn't remorseful, he wanted his own private room, and he wanted to go home as soon as possible.

Another one, when she woke up, she wanted to know where her car was so she could drive home. Yikes.

Moral of the story: Please be nice to nurses. They really appreciate it. They not only have to deal with the crazy patients, but also crazy nurses that don't pick up after themselves.
