The difference is that the interior will look and feel like an 80k car....
While the Vette might look and feel like an 80s K-car.

I exaggerate a bit.

New Lexus RC-F GT3 racing 540hp V8

With more than 540 hp V8 @ ~2,755 lbs You won't be worry on the race track Damn, this will be seen in GT500 for real in a year or 2.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just in time for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show is coming to the party with a new racing concept that’s based on the all-new Lexus RC F performance coupe .
The race car is called the RC F GT3 Concept and as its name suggests, Lexus built and developed it to meet Group GT3 international racing standards. All the preparations leading up to this point will actually come in full bloom next year when the concept is turned into a full-fledged racing car that will become available to racing teams beginning in the 2015 season.
So in the meantime, the RC F GT3 Concept will proudly wave to attendees of the Geneva Motor Show before undergoing a series of tests later this year to ensure that the car is fit and ready to tackle some of the best GT3 races in the world, including the 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race and the Super Taikyu Endurance and Super GT series in Japan.

There you go, the 5.0L can make 540hp, now put that racer engine in GS-F.

I'm so glad to see the new Era of Toyota/Lexus. There are going to be a lot of amazing cars in the next few years. Right now I'm waiting for new ISF V8 or GSF V8 for my weekend family sedan, nothing less than that period.

If I can afford one, I would go with RC-F as well, it's probably out of my price range though. I hope next Supra will be more affordable with insane tunability.

I came in here to make a thread on the new Lexus RC, so this will have to do.

I'm completely enamored with this car. If the price for the base RC is around 40k as rumored, it might be my next car.

The RC F is a sickkkkk looking DD, if only it were in my price range.

I think the standard RC is stylish enough for me though. If I do get one, it'll be at the end of my lease around June of 2015. I love my FR-S and as of right now I'm hoping to save around 15k by lease end so that I can pay it off...but this car has me sprung. I'll be 22 at that time, and I just feel like I will want something more mature for the next 5-8 years.

I really feel like this is the grown-up version of the FR-S. A little more power, still great handling, a big upgrade as far as the interior, and the grown up Lexus badge. All while still being Japanese (as opposed to German), still being a Toyota (reliability), having good resale value, and most likely a decent gas mileage rating.

Looking to upgrade to the next integration of future IS-F V8 @ 450 hp which will probably use the engine from the new RC-F V8 @ 450hp. Just can't wait to see the real RC-F and up coming FT-1. Too exciting for these coming years from Toyota/Lexus.

Agree, it is going to be a better car than anything the Germans have, below a Porsche.
